Tanztage Berlin Podcast 01-03: LECKEN X TANZTAGE

Lecken is a Berlin-based queer-feminist collective organizing erogenous raves with a strong commitment to the dance floor. It is also a platform for somatic expansion and collective transformation, a community art space, a queer counter-economy and a constant work in progress. At Lecken, rave is praxis. The dark room starts on the dance floor, the vibe is a sound-smell and the crowd is assembled through discourse.

„If we are going to fight together, we must do more than dance together,” they write in the editorial of their first zine, Community Standards #1: 2020 Canceled, written, illustrated and designed during and for the slowed-down year of 2020. As Lecken won’t be able to curate the annual closing party of Tanztage Berlin in 2021, the festival invited three of their residents, KILLA, PAARTANZ and S Ruston, to prepare some music to enjoy in the living rooms, streets or parks. The mixes will be available on Sophiensæle and Lecken’s SoundCloud from 8.01.2021, and there will be a possibility to purchase the Lecken zine during our spring Tanztage dates.
